I'm moving.

When I started this blog last year, T & I had just moved in to our first "gown up" apartment. I wanted, somehow, to document this first grown up year, and the time we spent together--and thus the blog was born.

Over the months, this little blog worked in many different ways; a place to share eco-friendly finds, a way to stay accountable with more than one semi-successful exercise plan, and, of course, a starting point to meet many wonderful bloggers.

Then I got in to nursing school, and T got in to law school. We moved to up Baltimore for the summer, which was wonderful and challenging in so many ways. Now T has moved back down Virginia, and as grade-schoolers everywhere are stocking up on #2 pencils and Elmer's glue, I'm gearing up for a new adventure of my own: living alone. Of course, T is only a few hours away, and between weddings and holidays and long weekends, I'm sure we'll see plenty of each other; I'll miss him like crazy, but I'm not worried about how things will turn out.

I am a little nervous about being on my own, living on my own, in a still-new city. And again, I feel the urge to somehow document this year, this time in my life. I there will be many changes from last year--not all of which I can anticipate from this vantage point--and I feel the need for a change in my blog location, if only to symbolize a change my blogging style, reflective of the changes in my life.

So, feel free to come stop by, and subscribe if you're so moved. I've moved all my old posts over, so it looks pretty much the same right now--I decision inspired my something someone once told me about remembering where you came from to know where you're going. But expect changes. I do.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation, Part 1

Beach.

Cooking.

Boston, baby!

I'm headed to my Grandmother's house to help her out for a few hours, but I couldn't resist a quick post, now that I finally have a reliable internet connection. I'll be catching up with my RSS reader over the next few days--I missed y'all!

I'm finally DONE with exams, and now there are only 24 hours between me and the beach! I'm off to nap/eat/maybe workout/go shopping/NOT study!

TGIF, everyone!

P.S. T. sent me an article--have you heard about this? Now you, too, can Dress Like Harvard!

I know, I know, I'm supposed to be studying...

...but I need a break, too! This post over at Preppy, 50, & Loving Lilly made me think about all the small (and not so small) wonderful things I see in the blogosphere everyday--that add a little bit a loveliness to my day. Here are some of my favorites from this week:

Monogrammed Mason Pearson via Summer is a Verb--who knew?! {I'm so glad I have an excuse to get just one more!}

Bookshelf inspiration via Magchunk.

Free Boatman Geller stationary at Snapfish via Up North Preppy.

{Super-cute) Button via Life with Liane!

Letterpress & Eco-Friendly (!) via Bella Figura.

"Genius marketing" via Preppy, Straight Up.

Love via Etsy {I wish I could find the direct link...I'll update if I find it!}.

What were some of your favorites of the week?

Brick Oven Pizza

The Ultimate Veggie w/Teese Vegan Cheese

I'm still in a pizza-induced coma, so instead of a full review, here are some authorities on the subject:

"BOP should stand for 'Baltimore's Only Pizza'!" (Kevin Bacon)
"Unbelievable" (David Byrne)
"The pizza was great!" (George Carlin)
"Fantastic!" (Pavaratti)
"Mmmmmm!" (T.)

Wishlist of the Minute

And, of course, the budget & physique to go with. Of course.

(In other news: In the home stretch of the semester! There are 5 exams, a quiz, and 2 sign-offs between me & the beach!)
