Wear: Red!

As a cardiac RN, I see the challenges faced by women with heart disease every day. So, just in case your calender wasn't already marked...

Go Red for Women on Friday, February 4th

and get CAUGHT during National Wear Red Day!

Mark your calendars!

Everyone can support the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red on Friday, February 4th.

In 2004, the American Heart Association (AHA) faced a challenge. Cardiovascular disease claimed the lives of nearly 500,000 American women each year, yet women were not paying attention. In fact, many even dismissed it as an “older man’s disease.” To dispel the myths and raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women, the AHA created Go Red For Women – a passionate, emotional, social initiative designed to empower women to take charge of their heart health.

So come on, go ahead...and wear red on Friday show your support of Go Red for Women on National Wear Red Day 2011!
